ANNUAL FUND and FUNDRAISING
Clyde Hill PTA plans and organizes a wide variety of events and programs that benefit all students and parents of our school. The PTA Annual Fund pays for all of these programs thanks to the generous donations by families and friends of Clyde Hill Elementary through two main fundraisers: Envelope Drive (October 14-25) and Walk-A-Thon (spring 2020).
The goal for the 2020-2021 school year is to raise $200,000. To reach this goal, we are asking for 100% family participation in Annual Fund giving. We need YOUR support.
Why an Annual Fund?
Contributions to the Annual Fund directly pay for your child’s Reading Specialists and Instructional Assistants, as well as the Academic Challenge, science and technology programs, cultural and fine arts support, community events, and many other vital learning experiences and opportunities that our District and State do not fund.

Why should I give to the Annual Fund?
Unfortunately, there is a gap in State and District funding for essential educational programs and classroom support for teachers. It left to our engaged parent community to cover the shortfalls in funding. Your Clyde Hill PTA spearheads this effort to raise funds required to provide an enhanced, well-rounded education for our children.
How much should I give?
Please give to the best of your ability! The money to cover the cost of all enrichment programs, our amazing Instructional Aides and Reading Specialists amount to $200,000 per year. Gifts larger or smaller than our $450 ask per student are always accepted and appreciated, and directly support your child’s educational experience at Clyde Hill.
When do I give, and how?

Annual Fall Fundraising Event:
Our Annual Fund kicks off each year with the Envelope Drive in October. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Click here for more information.
Annual Spring Fundraising Event:
In the Spring we have a very fun Walk-A-Thon! Stay tuned for more details in early 2020.
If you haven’t done so already, please make your contribution to the Annual Fund now so that we can start planning for another school year in which our children experience the difference between a good education and a truly excellent one.
What happens if we don’t reach our goal?
Failure to meet our fundraising goal will result in tough cuts to programs and services that benefit all our children.
How do matching gifts work?
If your employer matches donations made to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, your donation could be doubled, or even tripled! Please submit your matching gift request online through your corporate intranet. (As of Oct 2017 for Microsoft: http://aka.ms/give, Donate, search for Clyde Hill, select CLYDE HILL PTA, enter amount, select options as needed, fill in the note field containing the child info, Confirm, Submit Donation, done). Clyde Hill Elementary PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
WHY CLYDE HILL ELEMENTARY NEEDS AN ANNUAL FUND:
- Instructional Aides and Reading Specialists are provided for each grade.
- Software that is used by students in the classroom and at home – Raz-Kids and IXL, Dreambox.
- Additional classroom materials such as reading books, dictionaries, etc.

Matching Gifts If you have a Corporate Matching Program available to you, please make the matching submission.
We are making an effort to minimize our paper communications. If you donate online, you will receive an automatic receipt via email. If you give by check, please include your email address on the donation form you return with your check and an electronic receipt will be sent to that address.
