Envelope Drive 2019
Clyde Hill PTA’s “Envelope Drive” to support the Annual Fund begins October 14th!
The PTA needs to raise $200,000 and the Envelope Drive is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year the Envelope Drive raised more than $137,000 with only $200 in expenses.
Envelope Drive GOAL: To raise majority of the $200,000 PTA Annual Fund during the Envelope Drive. This direct donation campaign relieves pressure on Walk-A-Thon fundraising and eliminates the need to do a door-to-door product sale.
Most importantly, the Envelope Drive gets more money to the classrooms!
Our PTA is 100% funded by YOU! To raise $200,000, we need donations of $450 per student (not per family) for this school year.
It is up to each family to decide when to donate, but we encourage you to donate all or majority of your donation during the Envelope Drive so the PTA can plan for next year. If our goal of $200,000 is not met, there will be a reduction in Instructional Aide support and programs provided to students.
Your child will be sent home with a bright yellow envelope and donation form on Thursday, October 10. We hope to see a big return of yellow envelopes starting on Monday, October 14. Our goal is a 100% response – meaning every student returns an envelope by October 25, whether they contain a donation or not!
The classroom from each grade with the highest envelope return rate will win a prize!

Please return your envelope and donation form to the main office or to a PTA volunteer stationed in under cover area with sign and collection box before school.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What if I never received or can’t find the bright yellow envelope or donation form?
A: A donation form is available on the PTA website. We accept envelopes of any color – just make sure to clearly label your envelope with child’s name, grade and teacher and return to the main office between October 14-25.
Q: Where do I turn in our yellow envelope and donation form?
A: Please return your envelopes between October 14-25 to the main office or to a designated PTA volunteer that will be stationed in the under-cover area before school.
Q: I have two kids at Clyde Hill but only want to write one check, what do I do?
A: Include your donation in one check, and put in one envelope. But PLEASE turn in both envelopes. There is a box on the Envelope’s label to indicate that your donation is being sent in with a different envelope/student. (You can donate online too! Just remember to return your envelopes for the class competition!)
Q: Why is the Envelope Drive our major fundraiser?
A: The Envelope Drive is extremely cost-friendly and an easy fundraising model with high returns. It also allows the entire Clyde Hill Community to be involved. (It costs approx. $250 to run the entire fundraiser and ALL donations go straight to Annual Fund!)
Q: Why only two weeks? (Oct 14-25)
A: The two week focus is to keep everyone engaged and GET IT DONE! You are, of course, welcome to contribute money to the Annual Fund at any time of year, but it works best for the PTA if you can make your commitment now.
Q: What is the overall goal?
A: Our goal is 100% participation – we want everyone in the Clyde Hill Elementary community return their envelope.
