ACADEMIC CHALLENGE: WELLNESS ACTIVITY
A CLYDE HILL ELEMENTARY PTA
CURRICULUM ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM DUE APRIL 21, 2017
At Clyde Hill, physical education is a highly valued part of the curriculum. This year it has been added to the Academic Challenge as a seventh activity, opening the challenge up to a wider audience of students. Teaching children how to include healthy exercise from the early stages of their education gives them a skill that will endure throughout their lives. Among the many benefits are physical fitness, confidence, stronger self-esteem, more energy, better memory, and simply a good feeling about themselves.
Step 1: Sign up your student for an activity such as soccer, football, dance, baseball, volleyball — any activity that gets their heart beating!
Step 2: Take photographs and track their hours on the Wellness Activity Submission Form,
Step 3: For those finishing all 7 Academic Challenges, be sure to complete Clyde’s Ultimate Academic Challenge Final Online Submission Form by April 21, 2017.
