Clyde Hill Auction

About Us

The Clyde Hill Elementary School Auction is hosted by the Clyde Hill PTSA.  With the proceeds from the auction, the Clyde Hill PTSA supplements the funds received from Washington State and the Bellevue School District, making tangible differences in every classroom for every student on every day.  For example:

 

80% of the funds raised are spent on certified teachers which perform reading and math support for our students.  Also on teacher aides who provide additional help during morning drop-off, recess, lunch, afternoon pick-up, and program support.

 

Another 8% is spent on curriculum support in the classrooms, providing our children materials that they do not receive from the school district.

 

The remaining 12% is spent on items such as assemblies, scholarships, technology, music programs, and fieldtrips.

 

The 2008 auction rose over $300,000.  While we are thrilled with last year’s success, we are facing greater needs now more than ever before.  The governor is proposing education cuts that would increase class sizes and reduce programs.  Our student body continues to grow, increasing class sizes, straining our physical space, and stretching every resource.

 

With your support, the Clyde Hill PTSA can continue to help our children succeed in school and prepare them for the challenges they will face in life.

Assemblies!  Extra staff!  Field trip buses!

The PTA has provided these and numerous other programs with your generous donations in the past.  We realize that these unsettling economic times might make it more difficult for you to give yourself to the cause.  However, we respectfully ask for your continued support of our children and the hope for their success in the future.

Auction Results

The 2009 auction was GREAT! Our goal was to get 100% participation.  We wanted every family, teacher and staff member to participate in our auction. I am proud to report that to date we've had 82% participation.

 

Monetarily our auction did very well.  We continue to reconcile expenditures and collect donations and matching funds. It looks like we're going to end up a little lower but still very close to our historic levels.  I'm very appreciative to the whole community for coming through with donations even during uncertain times.
